My wife and I were in Santa Barbara last month and we found this great store for kid’s clothes. Naartjie is a South African store (with shops in California as well) that sell clothes for boys and girls, but it’s the girls dresses that we fell in love with. And fortunately right now they have lots of summer stuff on sale.
My girls (about to turn 3 and 5) only want to wear dresses this summer, in particular dresses that “twirl.” If I try to put them in something that isn’t “twirly enough” then it’s an automatic fight. The “dip dyed border print dress” (pictured) is one of our favorites (thankfully it also twirls), but they have loads of other stuff on sale as well. And the the headbands rule too.
Dip Dyed Border Print Dress, on sale for $17.99 at Naartjie.com
Oh, and in case you were wondering, Naartjie (according to a South African friend of mine) means “tangerine” and is pronounced “nar-gee”.
