We’re counting down the days until the Where the Wild Things movie premiere here on Babble, but we’re not letting the green-eyed monster take over our summer. Check out our seven days of monstrously good fun:

The monsters in the closet can’t hurt you when you have one of your own to hold tight at night. There are plenty of stuffed monsters on the market, but the Monster Factory critters won our hearts by mixing just the right amount of kook and sweet for a creation that roars “HUG ME.”
Handcrafted in Canada, they’re super soft but well-packed, so each Monster stands up of its own accord (because every true monster has a little backbone, we think) and gives as much to a good hug as it gets.
We try not to play favorites, but if you’re looking for a good friend, meet Keira – who looks like an alien/penguin cross (with a little bit of Kenny from South Park thrown in) but makes up for her waddle with a set of super friendly eyes. Or check out Todd (above) whose digging on some tunes we can’t hear, marching to the beat of his own monster drummer.
There are more Monster Factory friends over at Mahar Drygoods, so check them out.
Who can worry through the night with a good friend by your side? The Worry Woos come with a sweet story book to rush them off the dreamland, but its the monster pals with thin necks for maximum wrap-your-arm-around-ability that make them a must have in our seven days of monsters. Nola (above) is just one member of the WorryWoos stable, but she won our hearts with her half dragon/all huggable design, and a story that made us
If nothing else, get ‘em for the belly button – because what’s cuter than that? Find a retailer for your favorite WorryWoo over at the WorryWoos site, or get Nola’s Lonely Little Monster book over at Amazon.
And come back all week for more of 7 Days of Monsters!
