Go Fishing Without Ever Leaving the House

For some families, the first fishing trip is a big tradition. Just not mine.

We do it all from home, where there are no hooks involved (at least none that can take out an eye) and there are no fish that can’t be cleaned in my dishwasher.

Because bath toys do double duty in the summer as pool toys, I picked up the Gone Fishin’ Bath Toy from Munchkin, and we’ll be fishing in the wading pool in the backyard this summer. With a reel from them to spin like the real thing and a magnet in lieu of the hook, the lure of fishing just ratcheted up exponentially for the squeamish.
