Little Tikes Takes It Rocky Mountain High

First the bad news, this Rocky Mountain River Racer from Little Tikes will take $499.99 out of your wallet. Hey, that’s less than most of the strollers we see around here.  Shouldn’t your kid be walking by now?

The good news, it’s worth it.  Sure, it’s hard to justify that kind of change being tossed down for anything that isn’t absolutely necessary, but do you see how happy the kids are?  Isn’t happiness necessary?  Isn’t it?

We set up our Little Tikes mountain of inflatable fun in about 10 minutes straight from the box.  Now that we know what we’re doing I can get that baby river racing in 2 minutes flat.  Granted, it takes a bit longer for the pool at the bottom to fill, but that just means there’s less chance of stopping safely when you come down the slide, which in the case of my boys is actually a selling point.

You’ve got your dual-slide action, a bucket that dumps water on kids as they climb the “rock” wall and a bunch of nozzles that squirt streams of the wet stuff in every direction.  In other words, it’s perfect.  However, you should probably note the large print: For Outdoor Use Only.

So there’s that.

The first time we used the Rocky Mountain River Racer was for my son’s 6th birthday party.  Needless to say, the Dad of the Year votes were cast and the rest of you will just have to try harder next year.
