Comparing bellies with my first born.
In two days I’m heading to the hospital to have a baby.
Being able to say that is nothing short of blissful to me.
I have been pregnant three times since January 2010 and this is the pregnancy that ends with a baby instead of a devastating loss around the five week mark. This is also the pregnancy that endured MTHFR, complete Placenta Previa and Gestational Diabetes. My doctor called me her Blue Plate Special.
Feeling the baby still kicking strong and knowing that in two days I will get to meet him makes me want to jump up and down on the couch and scream with joy at the top of my lungs.
I’m kind of excited to say the least.
But whether or not I’m excited hasn’t been question most people are asking me these days. Instead they are asking, “Are you nervous?”.
Word has it that Beyonce is pregnant.
Good for her.
I’m not one to follow celebrity gossip so the fact that she is pregnant and famous really makes no difference to me. We are after all just people. She is just in the spotlight and much richer than I will ever be.
But she is a woman pregnant with her first child and that makes me happy for her as another woman.
I’m getting off track though. This post isn’t really about Beyonce. It’s about this cute parody a friend of mine sent me today of Beyonce’s Single Ladies geared towards pregnant ladies. It has some hilarious lyrics in it like “Don’t have a lap, can’t take a crap.” that many of us can relate to at some point in our pregnancy.

Searching Etsy for newborn hats is a very dangerous act for my wallet. I think it may actually burrow to the bottom of my purse when I click on the bookmarked tab in my browser. It’s as if my wallet knows that there will be so much cuteness that will be so hard to resist the temptation of just throwing my money directly at the screen.
I shared twenty of my favorites back at the end of June. But one of the best things about Etsy is that the stuff you can find on there is constantly changing. Every day there is something new.
So today I have fifteen new hats to share with you.
I guarantee you will say “Awww…” at least once.
I also suggest you hide your wallet if you don’t want to spend your money on all the cuteness.
Awhile ago I was talking about the things I couldn’t wait to do once this pregnancy was over.
Now that I’m just 6 days away from having my baby those things are back on my mind.
While there is a good chance that other mothers felt the same way about at least one of the things on my list, what better way to find out except to go right to the source?

If I don’t go into labor in the next six days, I will be having a baby in seven.
My surgery is scheduled and in the early morning hours next Sunday I am heading to the hospital to deliver my second son via cesarean section.
