My Pregnancy Journey In Photos
38 weeks belly.
With my pregnancy nearing its completion, I thought it would be a good time to go back through the weeks and watch my belly grow through weekly photos.
I kind of wish I’d been better about documenting my pregnancy, but having struggled so much with body image issues throughout my pregnancy and feeling most definitely less than cute, I wasn’t all that eager to have my photo taken.
I did however give in and have maternity photos taken this past weekend at 38.5 weeks, with swollen ankles and puffy face. Even though I didn’t feel very attractive, I’m sure that one day I’ll look back at these photos and appreciate the miracle that is pregnancy, even though right now I feel a little more like a whale and can’t wait to start working off this pregnancy weight.
But, for now, I’ve got some random snapshots through the weeks…

When I was pregnant I took a lot of photos because I honestly had never felt more beautiful. I hated being pregnant, but it did great things for my face/hair/skin. My body issues have actually emerged AFTER I had the baby. I’ve lost all the pregnancy weight plus 20 pounds and am still in my pre-pregnancy clothing and that still doesn’t fit right. My body was changed from my pregnancy and I am not a fan of those changes. I’m glad I’ve got the weight off, but now I need to learn more about toning and living with my new body.
