Being Pregnant
22 Weeks and Pop!
The week of Thanksgiving my mom was disappointed I wasn’t showing much. I’m not sure if it was the amount of food I ate over the break or what but by the following Monday I woke up and there it was, what I’ve been waiting the last two years for. The bump. It kind of looks cuter on other women.
I feel like I’m carrying high since it starts at my ribs and ends just below my belly button. I feel the little guy move everyday and he’s down low, so what’s taking up all that space? Probably the cheese I’ve been inhaling. The movements are a lot more pronounced now and my husband even felt a good kick a few days ago. I’m feeling round but still mobile except when I try to jog (it’s like carrying a rock) or turn from side to side too quickly. Those clothes I thought would last most of my pregnancy? Not so much. I’ve been doing plenty of online shopping this week. The empire waist makes me look like I’m 12.
Because I’m still feeling great and only in my second trimester, I’m going to be one of those obnoxious people now who says that I like pregnancy. It has its not so fun symptoms and I don’t feel pretty or anything, but I love that my body just knows what to do. I love feeling the baby move. I love the quiet moments of thinking of my son. It’s a miracle and I know that.
