7 Must-Have Products After Vaginal Delivery
After the birth of your child there are unique needs for caring for your body afterwords. Preparing your house with some items that could be of great help for you when you get home from the hospital.
I found the best time to make sure the house is stocked with certain items was right as I was packing my bags for the hospital – about a month before my due date. Having these easy to find items on hand makes for the beginning postpartum period to go just a bit easier.

Jennifer commented on Nov 17 11 at 3:18 pmI love this list. I EVENTUALLY got almost everything on here (suffered for a number of days first though), but nobody had ever told me about needing any of this stuff… This time around, I’m going to be prepared!! Was in so much pain :(
Kristin commented on Nov 17 11 at 4:39 pmPerineal irrigation bottle (a/k/a “peri bottle”). Not perinatal bottle. Just sayin’. ;-)
Kristin commented on Nov 17 11 at 4:42 pmOne more comment from me, this one about the frozen diapers: this works well with witch hazel, too, either on diapers or super-sized maxi pads in the freezer. Even better when placed open in a bowl so they freeze in the contour of your body.
Great list!

Alexis P. commented on Nov 18 11 at 11:43 pm& the spray that cools the area after you use the water bottle the 2 of the make you feel soooooo relieved!!!! I could spray the whole can cuz it cools it & has a numbing topical solution!!!!!!! Life savers!!!!!!!!
Taz commented on Mar 06 12 at 3:20 pmI got peri bottles & witch hazel pads from the hosp…and after i ran out of those i made my own. I wanted to add cryoderm spray which the hosp also sent me home with. And instead of stool softener I had my sister send me an edible arrangement instead of flowers- the fruit helps…plus after a long labor with no snacks allowed it was much needed! AND huge giant pads and undies you don’t mind tossing out.
