Pretty Maternity Photos

A lovely maternity shot by photographer Leo Patrone, of his wife.

We’ve seen the good and the bad when it comes to maternity photos. For whatever reason, pregnancy is an “event” that is apparently difficult to capture in the right way … or even the right light. But when executed well, these can be some of the most beautiful, most inspiring photographs—and ones moms-to-be cherish most, too.

Utah-based photographer Leo Patrone is doing a lot for the case of good maternity photos. He captured his expecting wife on film, and in just the right way—not too posed, and without any props. She looks natural and happy.

Check out some of my favorites from her shoot, after the jump.

The Patrones gave birth to their first (a boy), just a few days ago. Congratulations, Leo! Can’t wait to see the baby photos.

YES!!

This is exactly what maternity photos SHOULD look like. So simple and pretty.

On a totally separate note: I am coveting her hair! I might have to steal her ‘do…
