A suspended cradle by Kindekeklein

The concept of a hanging cradle isn’t new—probably much older than the nursery rhyme about wind blowing through the tree tops. And yet, a suspended cradle seems so new and novel, and perhaps best, natural, to me.

A quick Google image search for “hanging cradle” will bring up handfuls of suspended options: many rigged-at-home operations, and some other now-defunct designer pieces.

But here are five hanging cradles that I’d consider: Two are ready-to-buy and the other three are DIY. It might be time to put my husband to work.

Would you consider a hanging cradle for your baby?
