Being Pregnant
Gender Reveal Day!
Today is like Christmas morning for me, because today is the day that we get to find out the sex of our baby! I’m not so much excited about it being a boy or a girl, but I’m mostly excited about just finding out another little detail about this miniature person growing inside of me…
At 2:15 I’ll have my ultrasound, but I won’t get to find out just yet. We’ll be having a gender reveal party later tonight where we’ll be finding out alongside friends and family just what we’re having as we all bite into our cupcakes simultaneously to reveal pink or blue inside.
I’m hoping that baby will cooperate with us and show us it’s business, so keep your fingers crossed and I’ll post photos soon of the outcome and the party!
Did you find out the sex of your baby? Were you even able to tell from the 18-20 week ultrasound? Did any of you have a gender reveal party?
Please share!

I really want a gender reveal party, but my husband wants to know the sex immediately. But I feel like I could convince him if the party was the night of the day we found out. Whoever is making those cupcakes has a short turnaround!

Laura commented on Aug 16 11 at 2:38 pmWe found out the sex about three weeks ago and it was totally like Christmas. I was so excited I could hardly sleep the night before and that morning at work I was practically useless.
We didn’t have a gender reveal party but we had a special family celebration dinner that evening.
The funny thing was that the ultrasound tech didn’t ask us if we wanted to know. She just started doing the ultrasound. After 30 minutes I couldn’t take it anymore and I asked her to please tell us. She went ahead and looked then and it was clearly a girl. Ours was at 20 weeks and 4 days.
Have fun!!!
Melissa commented on Aug 17 11 at 5:55 amI think that is such a fun idea and I will definitley be doing this with my next child! We have had 2 stillborn sons followed by a healthy living daughter so I think a gender reveal party would be a great way to have an exciting experience in a time that is scary and stressful.
