Being Pregnant
Positive Birth Affirmations and Positive Pregnancy Sayings to Focus On
While other people may often be overly-forthcoming with their pregnancy horror stories, you can help counteract that mentally with positive birth affirmations. I like to say these to myself when I’m stressed out, or before I go to bed at night to help me sleep better.
Some of these birth and pregnancy affirmations are my personal favorites, and some are favorites of my students from childbirth education classes. See if any work for you!
Here is a list of favorite pregnancy affirmations.
“I am giving my baby the very best start in life.”
“I am a strong a capable mother.”
“My baby is strong and healthy and happy.”
“I feel love from those around me.”
“God is with me during this pregnancy and gives me strength as I need it for everything.”
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understand; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
“My body is beautifully and wonderfully made.”
“I surrender with confidence.”
“Just courage and patience are required to send my baby joyfully into my waiting arms.”
“I am ready and prepared for this.”
“I see myself in perfect health.”
“I see myself as the perfect mother for this child.”
“I lovingly accept my changing body.”
“I accept each stage of pregnancy as a wonderful adventure to share with my baby.”
Do you have a motto, saying or mental mantra you play in your head, or read aloud to yourself, during your pregnancy?

Abby Norman commented on Aug 16 11 at 12:50 pmMy body knows what to do, I was designed to do this. Whether during labor or when I am freaking out about a weird cramp, or if I am agonizing about exactly when this baby will come (those last weeks are hard!) It is easier for me if I remember my body knows how to do this. The baby will come when it is time. And your body is good at tellling you if something is wrong as well!
