Camden and Little Miss A ... Also known as Addison

You know that old saying… Kid’s say the darnedest things?  My three-year-old has certainly become quite the comedian in the past year, especially with his vocabulary, and story telling.

But yesterday while we were visiting my husband’s grandmother for her 88th birthday he told he one of his best stories ever!

The tale of when Addison joined out family, and boy were we all in for a treat! Although it slightly confused Nana.

Previous to this, I had heard little bits and pieces of him tell the tale, but never in such detail as he did this time around.

Now it really all started because we went to the hospital to visit her, since she broke her hip a month ago, she is in a rehabilitation facility to help her walk again.  But Camden relates that to the big hospital.

Nana was gooing and gaaing over Addison, and said something along the lines of  “She is so precious, where on Earth did she ever come from?“   and Camden chimes in…

“Nana, she came from the hospital.  First Mommy’s water bottle broke when she was eating pizza. Then they went to the hospital and Addie wasn’t in Mommy’s belly anymore. Then Daddy brought Ben and me to the hospital to see her. Now shes home and our little sister.”

Certainly the cliff notes version of my birth, but for a three-year-old, it is pretty accurate. I especially love the water bottle part.   Yes, my water broke, and I think it is downright hysterical that he thinks it was my bottle of water.

Do you have any funny tales of your children explaining your birth?

Such detail.
I like the added touch that you were eating pizza. That’s a key element to the story.

I love it. :-)
