5 Great Smoothies for Pregnancy
When I was pregnant, I found breakfast to be the toughest meal to choke down. I was nauseous and tired and just didn’t want to be bothered with much in the mornings.
Smoothies worked great for me, because it doesn’t get much easier than throwing everything into the blender and hitting puree.
One of the best things about smoothies is that you can incorporate so many amazing ingredients that you can start the day off nutritiously.
Here are 5 of the best smoothies that I have come across:
1. Nutella and Strawberry Smoothie (above), from the Family Kitchen. Nutella is everywhere these days. Why not add some to your smoothie?
2. Berry Smoothie, from this homemade life, one of my go-to websites for all things delicious and beautiful. I love that a super ingredient is hiding in this smoothie!
3. Fresh Ginger, Raw Banana Smoothie, from Happy Healthy Life. Ginger helps alleviate nausea for many women, so give this one a try if you’re having a tough time with morning sickness.
4. Blueberry Banana Smoothie, from The Family Kitchen. Blueberries, loaded with anti-oxidents and high in fiber, make this smoothie perfect for pregnancy.
5. Double Superfood Smoothie, from Babble’s 50 Best Recipes for Mom. This smoothie has a hidden source of protein that you’ll never even taste.
Now it’s your turn. What are your favorite smoothie ingredients? Please share!

I’m on a total smoothie kick, so I’ll look at all these recipes. I keep mine simple – frozen berries, vanilla yogurt, a banana, ground flax seed and some OJ. Delish.
