Baby Boy to Big Brother
Ben is our baby boy. He will be two only two weeks after our daughter is due to join our family, although I am still coming to terms that my little baby boy is half my size and soon going to be the middle child.
He seems to be transitioning just fine though. Every chance to bond with my belly, he takes. And he has developed this habit for lifting up my shirt several times a day to talk to his baby sister and give her a kiss.
Every time he does it… my heart melts.
Well today my husband took our oldest son out the Legion, and the fire house and Ben had Mommy time.
I took this video after we had a bath together to share, because he still melts my heart. He is going to be an amazing big brother!

@Daniella – when andhow did you tell him you were expecting. I am 20 weeks and my little boy will also be nearly two (prob minus 3 weeks) when baby no 2 arrives. We haven’t told him yet, becuase I just don’t think he will understand.
Any tips?
Danielle625 commented on Mar 14 11 at 9:28 am@ Helen – We never really “told” our youngest… I think he just kind of learned from my oldest who is three. We told our oldest son he was going to be a big brother again, which he understood because he has gone through this already with my youngest. While he didn’t understand at the time when Ben came home, he certainly does now.
