Being Pregnant
Baby Pictures Never Looked So Dreamy
I’ve been alerted to more gorgeous photographs by an inspired new parent, this time from Helinski mother Adele. Using wool scarves, sarongs, cushions, towels and laundry she slips her sleeping baby Mila into beautiful, fantastical landscapes.
I love the pictures and the video (above) had me a little verklempt. On her blog, Mila’s Daydreams, Adele writes: “This is my maternity leave hobby. While my baby is taking her nap, I try to imagine her dream and capture it.” (More pics after the jump).
When you see a new parent looking at his or her baby, there’s a tangible and profound feeling of connection and mystery and love, it’s almost telepathic. As Adele fixes her gaze on little Milo, that intensity comes right though. And what an awesome way to spend maternity leave: Even with the mystery and love, those days sure can stretch out in front you…
Thanks to the awesome blog A Cup of Jo: Napping Adventures for the tip. And you can see the whole series here.

Pika commented on Jul 27 10 at 1:51 pmVery cool!! But I do have to say I’m envious — that baby sure sleeps a lot! Maternity leave with my colicky girl meant no naps longer than 10 minutes. But even if she had slept, I probably wouldn’t have been half as creative as this gal!

McKenzie commented on Jul 28 10 at 10:30 amYou should remove the photos – the creator of Mila’s daydreams has asked that the photos not be shared online without her approval – and that she will seek legal action.
