Sorry I’ve been MIA for a few days. I’m playing catchup after a rough start to the month and I’ve been feeling slightly unmotivated as this is my last month on Baby’s First Year. :(
I can’t believe my baby will be a year in less than a month and I don’t like like the idea of just leaving Baby’s First Year BUT I’ll be transitioning over to Toddler Times. So that makes it a little better. :)
I’m planning a good-bye post from Evan (AKA Little Bean) but he did something this morning I just had to tell you about.

Little Bean is a cruising master. He can go from one end of the couch to the other. He transfers. He’ll even find the littlest thing thing to pull up on including the back of my legs when I’m cooking.
SO annoying but absolutely adorable.

As a Mom of a 1st grader and a baby learning to eat solids, I’m constantly striking a balance between feeding my kids healthy and feeding them what they’ll actually eat. It’s a definitely a battle, but one I chose to fight. There’s just too many benefits to a healthy diet.

Little Bean is turning 1 in less than a month.
A MONTH!
I’m starting to plan a small party for him now and you know the first thing I’m going to get asked once the invitations go out?
What does he need? What does he like? Can I buy him ____?
My response is always the same…
Anything but toys. We have enough TOYS! Save the toy gifts for when he’s older and he’ll remember what an awesome gift giver you are. Right now he’s easily entertained by a wooden spoon and a whisker. Seriously. This kid doesn’t need any more toys and frankly, Mom doesn’t want any more toys!

I total missed Little Bean’s 11 Month “Birthday”. :(
I was out of town but to be honestly, that wasn’t why I forgot. I didn’t even realize it passed until today when someone asked me how old he was. I said,
“10 months. No. Wait… He’s 11 Months!”
