Happy Little Teether?

The one that brings the teeth. Not the one that takes them away. There is such a faery, yes there is. There shall be as many faeries as I proclaim there to be.

See those little chompers? Faint little nubs that are about to pop through those pink gums? We’ve got some lower central incisors well on their way.

There was a time, not long ago, that I thought Lil’ Abner was teething. At around 3 months. I thought her constant drooling and gnawing of any available object was a sign.

I think that babies just drool. And shove things in their mouth. Constantly. We ask ourselves the question as to whether or not they are teething, when really …… babies are always teething.

Teeth begin developing in the womb, growing upwards underneath the gums … I’d imagine that doesn’t tickle.

Cutting: now that’s the stage we’re all in a kerfuffle about, with our ointments and tablets and gels and amber necklaces. Justifiably so. We want to do anything we can to ease our little one’s pain. Abby’s amber necklace still hasn’t arrived in the mail yet … hopefully it gets here soon.

But, I’ve got to say, she’s taking it like a champ. As the photo above clearly attests.

Check out my favourite natural teething remedies here and Casey’s selection of amber teething necklaces to chose from, here.
