Our (second) Wedding Day
I’m ashamed to admit I don’t know most of my parent’s story. How they met, where they met, where they got married and how. I do know that my mom wasn’t even a mom at my age, motherhood was still another year off for her. There are a few photos I can remember seeing in old photo albums growing up, of a wedding, my sister and me as newborn babies and of my parents on beaches and in Europe together. I have every intention of learning their stories and compiling all of their photos before they are gone.
When your dad and I were married digital photography was still very new, our entire wedding was shot on film and all of that film has gone missing. The only things I have left are some photos that I had printed years ago that have been stuck into albums.
Fearing something happening to the one and only copies of these photos I spent a morning scanning them in, and here are some of my most favorite, the ones that will show you who your parents were before we were your parents.
