Acquired Skills
You learn so much every month — it’s crazy! This month, you learned to play with toys, and sit up like a champ and to pull the glasses of mom and dad’s faces. You have also finally found your toes, and can’t seem to get enough of them! One skill you haven’t learned: growing hair. That’s ok by me, my bald-headed, chubby-cheeked boy.
Crying
When you get extra hungry or extra tired, which I am happy to report isn’t that often. I am figuring you out, kiddo. And you mister, are well aware of when we are paying strict attention to you or not. Your cries now start with a quivering bottom lip — it’s the cutest, sad thing I have ever seen.
Sleeping
You sleep best when you are close to your momma. Your naps are getting less sporadic, but still happen most often on the boppy, after you eat or in the car seat when we happen to be running around town. At night, you still sleep in your cradle in our bedroom, and we co-sleep after your first nightly feeding. You generally go down around 8PM but tend to be pretty restless after 5AM (which, let’s be honest, is wearing mom out a bit).
Favorites
Eating, snuggling, the moby, sitting up, and anything that makes noise when you play with it. You love to play and love when we sing to you (especially when daddy pulls out his guitar and sings you the songs he sang to you before you were born).
Dislikes
Sitting down too long, you want to be in the moby and on the go. Mom doing dishes with you in the baby carrier – 10 minutes of staring only at the sink is just about more than you can take!
