The wooden baby spoon was way more exciting than posing for a photo.

Well my friends, the time has come for me to say goodbye.  Upon returning to work full time, I quickly realized that I just didn’t have the time to maintain three blogs, keep up my work load AND spend time with my most favorite little person in the entire world.  Quite honestly, I’m a little heartbroken to be leaving, as I’ve enjoyed sharing our journey with you so much.  I’ve had a wonderful 6 months blogging for Babble, first at Being Pregnant then Baby’s First Year and I hope that you continue to follow my journey with Wolf via my lifestyle blog, Unruly Things or my baby blog, Unruly Little Things.

I thought it’d be fun to end my last post with a little question / answer game.  Here goes.

What is your absolute favorite memory so far with your baby? {If you’re expecting or just in the thinking-about-having-a-baby stage, tell me your favorite baby memory, too!}

My favorite memory so far with Wolf is definitely that first time he giggled.  While we were in Idaho this summer, I could just tell he was right on the brink of laughing.  Each time he smiled with delight, I’d begin expecting it more and more.  But when he finally did laugh, it surprised the heck out of me.  I shrieked to my husband “OMG, HE LAUGHED!!!” so loudly, that I scared Wolf into hiccups, then tears.  Ha!!   Poor guy, to this day he still gets the hiccups if he laughs too hard.

Thank you so so much for reading.  Your thoughtful comments on my struggles with breastfeeding and the complex learning process of raising a new baby have meant the world to me.  So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good bye!

P.S. — To all you nasty anonymous commenters, I hope you find peace in what ever is making you so bitter.  Life is too beautiful to spend time being mean.

So long Alyson. Thank you for sharing. I’ve enjoyed all the tit bits on adventures with Wolf.
My baby’s pretty new so I’d have to say giving birth to him is my most awesome memory so far. His arrival was a surprise as he was weeks early but he came as an amazing miracle at the end of a long hard day. When I saw him I was in awe. I couldn’t believe this person was created in me and would always be a part of me.

I loved reading along with Wolf’s journey. He and Tate are nearly the same age and it was always interesting comparing their development and relating to you.

I wish you all the best!

I’m so sad to see you go! Wolf and my daughter are 3 weeks apart, so I loved to read about your pregnancy and your journey with your adorable son! I will absolutely follow you and Wolf on Unruly little things. And my favorite memory? The first time I met this tiny girl of mine, when the doctor put her on my belly just after I gave birth. It was SO amazing.

Thanks for sharing Alyson! We had the same due date and Wolf and my daughter were born one day apart. I enjoyed reading your updates! All the best wishes to you guys!

Blast! You’re my favorite because my babe is just a few days younger and has an “odd” name like my Ender. People have been leaving you nasty comments? That sucks…

Sorry to see you go, have really enjoyed reading your posts and your journey! Best of luck with the next steps in your journey with Wolf :-)

Oh! I am also sorry to see you go. My baby is also close to Wolf’s age. I think my favorite memory (today) is how excited Aidan gets when I come into his room in the morning when he is in that happy-awake stage. He smiles with his whole body! Love it!

It’s been fun following you over here! I admire how you’ve talked so openly about personal issues that moms, as well as people like me, who aren’t (yet) making babies!, can relate to and respond to. xo.
