@Pua – Just so you know Hyland’s had already developed and released a new line of Teething Tablets which are different from those that were recalled in October of last year. They rolled out onto store shelves early in August. But I do appreciate your concern for the readers.

We use a mesh feeder during teething times. Put a piece of ice or a freeze a banana or whatever baby prefers in it. Works every time!

The only thing that worked for my little one was Amber Teething neckalces. They work by releasing natural oils when in contact with the warmth of the skin. The oils have analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

My little one had a bad reaction to teething gels, so I decided to try the natural approach and it really worked.

I got mine from http://www.wildsheep.co.uk

Actually many cultures use Brandy or Whiskey or something like it to help with teething. It’s such a tiny amount (not much more than is in other medicines with alcohol in them.) They mix it with certain herbs and let it sit for a few weeks, babies love the taste and it works wonders! Look it up. I typically find that recommendations from elder generations are in fact wise and useful.

Hyland’s Teething Tablets ARE back in new packaging to distinguish from older bottles that have been recalled. According to the Hyland’s website, they were back in most stores as of mid-September, 2011.
