Baby Milestones, 1-6 months
Naturally, every new parent wants to know “when will my baby talk?” or “when will my baby walk?” When Wolf was 1 month old, I became instantly interested in baby milestones. It was like all of a sudden one day he went from that newborn haze to open eyes, ready to learn. He was smiling at us, cooing at his mobile and beginning to hold his head up with more ease. I found a chart at Baby Center.com that outlined what the “typical” milestones were for baby’s age because I wanted to follow along to see where Wolf stands.
Hop on through for the chart, plus the best smiling picture of Wolf yet!
My husband and I both started walking at 8 months. Not to say we’re geniuses by any means, but I was wondering if that meant Wolf might excel when it came to baby milestones. That being said, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised but Wolf already stands a little ahead of the game! At two months old, he smiles {no laughs yet but he’s so close!}, holds his head up really well and loves the feel of weight on his feet. Sometimes when we’re practicing what we call “assisted standing” he gets fussy when we want to stop! He’s also just begun noticing his feet and hands and obviously they’re the coolest thing since sliced bread.
And here’s my smiling boy. MELT!!
What about you. Did you follow along with a baby milestones chart? Where did your baby stand?

Rachel Wada commented on Jul 27 11 at 3:19 pmI’m actually following that babycenter milestones chart. My son just hit 3 months and seems to be precocious at the very least…even before we left the hospital he was holding his head up while he was on his tummy! Now he sits up practically unsupported, has 30-second long laughing fits, and stands up for a while when he’s holding onto our fingers. He’s started rolling over from tummy to back every time we do tummy time (which is good, but frustrating because we can’t get him to stay on his tummy for the whole 30 minutes a day.) I think he might be starting to teethe…he needs to SLOW DOWN lol!
Alyssa commented on Nov 17 11 at 3:00 pmMy son is 2 months old and is doing awesome. i look at the charts to make sure he is not behind but never an other reason because i already know he will be ahead if nt behind. He has held his head on his own and been able to turn it to look since day one. it shocked us and made me think that maybe he was over-due instead of on time. he has smiled since he was a week and a half old and has laughed since he was a month. he can stand if you support him by his hands, but loves to bounce up and down so sometimes he will lose balance if he gets too excited lol. he can roll from his back onto his belly but only going toward the right. I had to buy the toys that allow them to jump up and down because he doesnt like being stationary in a regular walker. we will have our hands full REAL soon lmao. congrats to everyone and there baby’s!
