Vivi’s Handmade Room {A Slideshow}
I consulted many “experts” when it came time to plan Vivi’s nursery. We lived in a tiny one bedroom apartment when Addie came into our lives and she never really had her own room until a year ago.
I knew I wanted it to be pretty because I knew I’d be spending an awful lot of time in it, however I could never settle on a theme. Owls? Creatures? The ocean? A particular color? TOO MANY CHOICES! THE PRESSURE!
I knew what I liked and I liked esty. Talk about the biggest rabbit hole time suck for a pregnant lady. I started purchasing things here and there, mostly from friends with their own etsy sites, I received a few gifts and before I knew it I had my theme.
Handmade.
Lots of photos after the jump!
Everything in her room has a story and I’ve talked with everyone who has contributed their talents to her little cozy corner of our first home. She still hasn’t slept in it since I’m having a hard time trying to decide when to boot the baby but that doesn’t mean we don’t spend lots of time in it. It’s a perfect room that gets the most perfect light for the most perfect baby (you know, in my opinion.)

Cameron commented on Jul 26 11 at 9:25 amOh my God, I’m basing my entire nursery theme on that Story People print & the colors in it (also a lot of handmade, by me and other Etsy artists). I bought it years and years and years ago and I am SO EXCITED to be able to put it up in the nursery. :)

Cameron commented on Jul 26 11 at 9:31 amOkay, now I’ve gone through the rest of the slideshow and this is just weird. I have poms, and that Rar Rar Press postcard, and a print of Oregon (not Indiana), too. Great minds think alike? I did not copy you, I swear. How crazy!

Please add a picture of how these items look in the overall room. i love Etsy too, but I’m reluctant to buy since i don’t know how to incorporate all of these disparate items into one space.

Marta commented on Aug 05 11 at 9:56 amLOVE. So many cute things that I want to steal. I also get unusually pleased with myself when I see that people have the same things as me (I am super lame, yes)
