10 Reasons I Love Being a Mom
Being a mom is the most challenging, rewarding, amazing, overwhelming job I’ve every had.
Ten reasons why I love it after the jump and NO, it’s not a slide show. ;)
1. I Get to Be a Kid Again
I love seeing things through my kids eyes. Everything is new and exciting. I get to enjoy the little things and PLAY again.
2. Teaching
I love teaching my kids and watching them learn. From playing the mimic game with Little Bean to helping my 6 year old learn to read. There is nothing more satisfying.
3. Learning
For as much as I love teaching, I love learning, and my kids have taught me more about myself and life than I ever imagined possible.
4. A Smile Makes Everything Better
I would have never thought it was possible until I had kids of my own, but nothing can turn a bad day around better than a smile from your baby.
5. Pride Like No Other
I don’t think I’ve ever been more proud of anything in my life. I look at my kids in awe that they are in this world because of me.
6. A Job No One Else Can Have
I am Mom. There’s no doubt about it and no one can take that away from me. Ever.
7. Makes Me a Better Person
Since having children I’m so much more alive and aware of LIFE. They make me want to live the best life I can, and I hope I’m teaching them the same.
8. Giggles!
When your kids laugh, you laugh. It’s one of the greatest sounds on earth. Click here to see Little Bean give me one of his first giggles.
9. Anticipation for What’s Next
From the moment I found out I was pregnant on, I have never looked at the future with more excited anticipation.
10. I Now Know What Love Is
Love for your child is like no other. I’m not quite sure I knew what love really was until I had my boys.
How about you? Why do you love being a Mom

lo commented on Jul 09 11 at 8:29 amYes,definitely the smiles and the laughter. Also I am an easy going person now that I am a mom, I just need a kiss or a simple smile and I’m instantly happy. It is like nothing can make me very sad because I have them now, just thinking of them brings me joy.
Jennifer commented on Jul 09 11 at 8:44 amI agree! (And thanks for no slideshow! Those suckers are tricky on my phone.)
I also love the feeling of tradition and a legacy. I love that my kids will know my husband and I’s story. They are the best pieces of the two of us.
And the hugs I get even when I don’t know I need one.
Kelly commented on Jul 09 11 at 9:34 amThe laughter & love! Also knowing no one can take my place!
Taryn commented on Jul 09 11 at 11:48 amBeing a Mom has been the most rewarding (and toughest) job I could EVER have! The things they have taught me in life, has forever changed me.
Kate commented on Jul 09 11 at 1:58 pmI agree with all of those. And thanks for the lack of slideshow!!!
Nicole commented on Jul 09 11 at 11:58 pmBeing a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had, and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed. It’s a beautiful thing to be a mother isn’t it?
Nikki commented on Jul 10 11 at 3:08 amMy mom always told me that I wouldn’t know what love was until I held my own babies. She was right. I would do anything for my little girl. She has taught me that I am a lot stronger and more capable of doing things and managing life than I ever thought. She is just learning to talk and when I was leaving for work and said I love you, she said ” love u more ” how can that not make u melt!! She gets it from hearing me and my mom.
