If you missed last week’s tip, click here. Otherwise, click continue to keep reading!

It’s all in the details. Every Mama loves to capture her baby’s sweetest expressions, but w

hat about every other sweet little baby detail?

Don’t forget to shoot everything: from your baby’s perfect little ears and feet, to his/her little details on her clothing.

Here are some ideas of good details to photograph to get you started:

  • Crown of head
  • Earlobes
  • Profile
  • Hands
  • Feet
  • Pacifier in mouth
  • Hands grabbing object
  • Mouth
  • Nose
  • Eyes
  • Belly Button
  • Umbilical chord still attached
  • Profile of protruding belly
  • Neck with back of head
  • Clothing details

Technically, it’s best to take a step back and zoom in on these details. If you can’t get close enough, see if you have a macro setting on your camera. If you don’t, you can get as close as possible, then crop later on your computer.

Not only will these images be frame-worthy, but they are great complementary images next to the “normal” ones for baby’s memory books. Happy shooting!

If you like this series, please comment below so I know to keep going!
