Newborn Clothes – What Works For Us
When I was pregnant with Wolf, one of my biggest concerns seemed to be what he would wear when we first brought him home. Since I didn’t know how big or small he would be, I was confused about how many little things to buy. Of the clothes that I’ve collected for Wolf, here’s what I’ve found has worked best for these early days.
Organic Cotton Ninja Suit from Sckoon – Sckoon has been one of my favorite baby clothing finds for Wolf. I like this kimono partly because of it’s major cute factor, but also because of its construction. It’s size 0-3 months and I can tell that Wolf will have lots of room to grow even though it fits him great now.
Heathered Long Sleeve Body Suits from Carters – The price is great on these and the heathered fabric is really soft and cozy!
Aden & Anais Swaddling Blankets – Ok, I know these aren’t exactly clothing but swaddling has saved our lives. Wolf loves to be swaddled and it instantly calms him down when he’s being fussy. Plus, he’s spent most of his early days only in a swaddle and a diaper.
Trumpette Socks – Another great thing that works from newborn and on. While they’re still a little big on Wolf, they definitely keep his feet warm. Plus, they are super cute.
Gerber Organic Onesies and Tops – Another great bang for the buck. When I first purchased these I thought, there is no way these will ever fit our baby! Boy was I shocked when they were the only thing that fit him snuggley! The long sleeved tops are really long so they cover fidgety hands that like to scratch faces.

I registered for some of those adorable swaddling clothes, and I’m relieved to hear that the Gerber onesies hold up well.
Thank you for sharing the details of life with your new sweetheart! It puts my soon-to-be-Mama mind at ease.

christine commented on Jun 11 11 at 11:37 pmI love a gown for nighttime because you don’t have to fuss with snaps at 3am. For day, I do like rompers with snaps up the legs, more than onesies and pants.
