finding gratitude among the crazy
Posted February 17th, 2012 at 12:00 am
This week was the most stressful week I’ve had, in a professional capacity, since I quit practicing law 3-1/2 years ago.
I realize that these are some really strong words I’m saying here, but I say them without a shadow of doubt. This week, I launched a huge redesign of my site, on a brand-new platform. And as expected, there are details that continue to need attending to. And although I tend to deal pretty well with stressful situations (practicing law for 15 years is great training for this sort of thing), I have to admit that this week, I almost let it beat me.
In other words, this has been a rough week.
And it’s weeks like this that I’m most grateful to have a conscious, focused gratitude practice. Because honestly, without my camera, and without pushing myself to see good, I’m not sure that I would’ve noticed that there were some lovely moments through the fog of stress and tension. But with my camera, I have proof! It’s right here.
So, here are the images from this week. But the truth is, I’m most grateful for gratitude.
Tell me, friends: what helped you get through your tough weeks this week?
